Itada-kimasu

Feeling hungry? Well, I think these pictures are sure to tempt you...Everything was taken when I was back home in Jakarta and my family took me out for dinner on the last night before flying back to Perth. The name of the restaurant is "Tsukinofune", which literally meant "the boat by the moon". The food are actually Japanese fusion, cheese and mayonnaise and pastry are mixed together to give that italiano "feel". Yum yummy~~~ Oh ya, I started with the dessert first because somehow when I upload the picture, the last one appeared first and the first last. Tried to cut and paste, but still unable to do it...hhhmmm...so let's have a change of the menu flow okies...

Dessert...don't desert me....This dessert is absolutely delicious. The greenish white is a homemade greentea ice-cream, while the chocolate cake has melted chocolate inside it, and it oozes out when u cut the cake into half.

Main dish #1: This sushi roll is actually pretty big. It has avocado and cucumber in it, whilst the outer is wrapped with a layer of unagi (eel)...Ooooeeeee...Very very tasty.

Main dish #2: This is the chicken teriyaki and the sauce provided is a type of chilli oil. The black metal plate ensures that the chicken is kept warm if we are eating rather slowly and I ate most of it...hee hee...(are you mouth-watering yet?)

Main dish #3: This is the best chawanmushi I have tasted so far. The prawn is a bit big, but the unagi and mushroom are never too big...I love it. The texture is very soft and non-oily, I think the chef is really skilled ^_^

Main dish #4: This hot bowl contains Katsudon "bathed" with Japanese curry. It is good, but I think the one in Perth is much better. The egg is more nicely done over here...hee hee...but I still finish the dish below.

Salad...Nope, it is not. This is actually fried rice with yakiniku beef served on top with some greens. It is actually an appetizer. Did not want to waste any stomach space, so we decided to divide it equally among the 4 of us.

Appetizer...Guess what's the fillings inside? Does it look like the Chinese Dim sum, minced prawn balls? Well, this one is potato croquette, filled with (I think) salmon and carrots. Yummy yummy, the savoury and the sweetness in combination worked up my appetite ^_^

Well...How do you enjoy it so far? If any of you come to Jakarta, let me bring you to this restaurant alrighty? Shall update more good food in the next blog. Ciao.
